Our February/March trip was filled with delicious food!!! Here are some of the vegan meals we had (not in chronological order)...
Raw banana crepes from a cool joint in Miami.
Gluten-free, vegan Mickey waffles and donut from Cape May Cafe at Disney. All I ever wanted in life was a Mickey waffle. It was like Christmas when the chef told me he could make me some.
Valentine's Day chocolate-fondued fruit. We made the chocolate with coconut oil, coconut butter, raw cacao, and raw honey.
Babycakes vegan and gluten-free bakery in Downtown Disney!! DELICIOUS!
Ethiopian food from DC. Román and I love injera (made of teff and typically gluten-free) and the different vegan lentil and vegetable dishes that come with it.
Sautéed vegetables with tofu and potatoes from O'hana at Disney. We actually had great meals at Disney. All of the chefs came to talk to us before our meals about our dietary requests, and they all took the time to make us something special even if it wasn't on the menu. The spices in this dish were especially wonderful!
PS...O'hana means family.
Dessert at O'hana. The chef brought us Rice Dream vegan ice cream with gluten-free vegan cookies, chocolate sauce, and raspberries.
Falafel, stir-fried rice, potato hash, and broccolini from Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Román's meal of rosemary potatoes, orzo, and fabulous stewed beans from Kouzzina at Disney's Boardwalk.
Román's vegan mac and cheese at a vegan restaurant called Sublime in Fort Lauderdale. The place was packed, and it honestly looked like a typical US steakhouse in its decor, but everything on the menu was vegan.
Román's vegan mushroom ravioli from Sublime.
My mushroom risotto cakes and green beans from Sublime.
All of these photos are seriously like two days worth of food and that's all. Eating vegan (and gluten-free for me) in the US is very easy... and fun!!! However, I do need to thank all of those who were accommodating to our needs, including my Aunt Sally and Uncle Ken, as well as my cousins Suzanne, Sam, Andrea, Annie, Jayme, and Mark!

I'm so jealous of all those gluten free options. If only Europe would jump on the gf band wagon. Enjoy your time in BA/Argentina. It will be nice to be 100% stress free for a while.
