Segundo....

I need to mention that my trip to Buenos Aires went well.  I made it safely with all of my baggage, and Roman was waiting at the airport for me with roses.  We spent most of the weekend going out with friends and family and unpacking.

Lovely flowers from Roman.

Tercero....

This weekend, Román and I went to Buenos Aires Market near Plaza Italia, and I want to tell you about it, because it rocked my world.  Even though Román has been researching places to find vegan food, I've secretly been a little concerned about finding all of the things that I'm used to having in the US.  But, when we went to the market, my fears subsided a little, because we found a lot of great things.  Buenos Aires Market is an organic market that includes vegan and raw food vendors.  Although it occurs once a month, I think it will be a great place to find things.

After we made our purchases, we sat on a park bench and assessed our inventory.

Items from the market: millet, raw chocolate almond milk, oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potato sugar, chia seeds, kale chips, adzuki beans, black beans, raw flax crackers, smoked garlic, raw falafel snacks, chai tea, and cacao nibs.
Not pictured:  a slice of raw chocolate cake that we ate within thirty seconds.

Since this weekend, Román and I have seriously been considering opening a small business of our own, selling vegan snacks at similar markets.  I will let you know if we follow through.  :-)

-Taylor

PS...Next post about our trip to Tandil!
